Carnival Dream Room 8434
This is the Carnival Dream stateroom 8434 which is a category 8C Balcony Stateroom on the Verandah deck. Room 8434 is located near the back of the ship on the port side. We stayed in here in December 2016 on our 8-Day Western Caribbean cruise.

Despite being close to the stairs and elevators, this was a very quiet location with very little foot traffic outside. Access to the Lido Deck (10), the Scarlet Restaurant (3 and 4) and the Serenity Deck (15) was very convenient. Walking to the Encore Main Lounge (4 and 5) in the front of the ship took a little longer.
Here is the view upon entering the room. The bed can be arranged as two twins or one king. Blackout curtains are located in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows and there’s also a door that leads out to the balcony.
To the left is the couch and small coffee table.
Looking right, there is ample counter space with a small stool that can help transform the counter area into a desk or vanity. A phone is provided and an electrical outlet is located here as well. There are several shallow drawers under the counter and a hairdryer is hidden in one. Under the left side of the counter is a refrigerator and a little left of that is an in-room safe (not visible here).
The bathroom includes a shower, toilet, and sink with storage areas along the large mirror. Towels are provided in addition to a bar of hand soap and shampoo/conditioner.
Three closets can be found across from the bathroom. Two have hanging rods with fixed hangers while the other one has several deep shelves and a full length mirror.
In the event of an emergency, life jackets can be found on the top shelf of the closet.
The back of the main entry door contains an emergency information placard. The muster station for this room is E4 which is Deck 4 in the Upper Aft Restaurant.
Saving the best for last… a photo from the balcony! This outside area has two sitting chairs and a small side table.
